Cookie Policy
There has been some fuss in the press recently about the
abuse of cookies, especially with regard to privacy issues.
We use cookies for one reason only on JobsInWales.com -
to make the site easier, quicker and therefore more convenient for you,
the user.
On the Job Submission page,. for example, the first time
you post a job we ask you to input various agency details, such as address,
fax number etc. We store these details on our secure database and send
your computer a small cookie that simply identifies where your details
are kept.
Then, on any subsequent visit we check your cookie and,
as long as it is still valid, we do not need to ask for your agency details
again because the cookie tells us where they are stored, thus letting
you get on with posting jobs.
What is a cookie? It is simply a packet of plain text that
can be used by your web browser to store various details to improve the
browsing experience. It cannot hold a computer virus, it cannot root out
any personal information from your computer, and unlike Gary Lineker does
not steal crisps from small children! Details we place in a cookie can
only be used by us - they cannot be read by other web sites.
Your web browser can be set by you to accept, not accept
or prompt when a cookie is sent to it.
With one exception, wherever we use cookies you can opt
not to accept them - it simply makes more work for you.
The exception is where you are asked to use a username/password
(the CV Search section, for example). This is because we constantly check
the cookie in those areas to make sure you have logged on for security
purposes. If you do not accept the cookie then you cannot use those sections.
Sorry.
If you require any more information on our use of cookies,
or any other aspect of our site please feel free to contact us by using
the e-mail link below, or by using the feed back section.
